The Statue of Unity complex in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, has launched the second edition of Ekta Prakash Parv, a cultural light festival that is scheduled to continue until January 15, 2027.
The festival features illuminated installations spread across a 7.6-kilometre stretch, giving visitors an opportunity to explore themed displays celebrating India’s cultural diversity, heritage and technological progress.
Cultural Displays Across India’s Regions
The indoor exhibition is divided into four regional zones representing North, East, West and South India. The displays highlight regional traditions, architecture, folk culture and cuisine.
Outdoor sections feature 11 themed installations, including displays focused on India’s heritage, space and technology, and women’s empowerment. The event forms part of the wider celebrations surrounding Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, observed on October 31 to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
A Longer Tourism Experience in Gujarat
The festival is designed to add another attraction to the Statue of Unity area, which already draws visitors to the world’s tallest statue and its surrounding tourism complex.
Travellers planning a visit can combine the light festival with other attractions in Ekta Nagar. Since programmes, entry arrangements and timings may vary, visitors should confirm the latest details before travelling, particularly during weekends and the late-October holiday period.
