Uzbekistan Offers Eligible Indian Travellers Visa-Free Stays of Up to 30 Days
Uzbekistan is making travel easier for certain Indian passport holders through a policy allowing eligible visitors to stay in the Central Asian country for up to 30 days without obtaining a separate Uzbek visa. The facility, comes with specific conditions, so it does not apply automatically to every Indian traveller.
Who Can Use the Visa-Free Facility?
Indian citizens must hold a valid multiple-entry tourist or business visa issued by at least one of these countries or regions: Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States or a Schengen member state.
Eligible travellers must also have a confirmed air ticket for their return to India or onward journey to a third country. Visitors who do not meet these conditions should check the applicable Uzbek visa requirements before travelling.
Historic Cities to Explore
Uzbekistan offers a distinctive mix of Silk Road heritage, colourful bazaars and impressive architecture. Travellers can explore Samarkand, known for Registan Square; Bukhara, with its historic streets and monuments; and Khiva, famous for its preserved old city.
The capital, Tashkent, combines modern city life with traditional markets, museums and cultural attractions.
Check the Rules Before Booking
The visa exemption could simplify travel for eligible Indian visitors, but passengers should confirm that their documents meet the current entry requirements before booking flights. A valid Indian passport alone does not automatically qualify a traveller for this conditional visa-free facility.
