The original anime Welsh & Shedar, created by French animation studio Ankama Animations, is preparing for an international launch on YouTube in November 2026. The 12-episode series will be available worldwide, except in Japan, through the Krosmoz YouTube channel.
The first episode is scheduled to premiere on November 5, followed by Episode 2 on November 6. After the opening pair, new episodes will arrive every Thursday.
Japanese, English and French Audio Options
The series will feature audio in three languages: Japanese, English and French. Subtitles are planned in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, making the show accessible to viewers in several regions.
The international release gives anime fans an opportunity to discover an original production from France without needing to wait for a traditional television broadcast.

The announced Japanese voice cast includes Rikuya Yasuda as Welsh and Yuki Kaji as Shedar. Other cast members include Yuhko Kaida as Zabel, Makoto Furukawa as Joris, Risa Kageyama as Bechamel and Wataru Takagi as Kahn Karkas.
Naoki Horiuchi is directing the series, while Saori Nakashiki is responsible for character design. Animation production is being handled by STUDIO MASSKET, with Ankama and Studio Dream Catcher involved in production.
What Viewers Can Expect
With 12 episodes planned and a regular weekly schedule after launch, Welsh & Shedar is set to offer viewers a new international anime release to follow through November and beyond. The worldwide YouTube rollout also makes the series easier to access across supported regions.
