Jio Platforms’ upcoming initial public offering (IPO) has attracted strong interest from institutional investors, with bids worth nearly ₹2.5 lakh crore for its ₹8,110-crore anchor book. The demand represents more than 30 times the amount available in the anchor portion.
The company is seeking to raise ₹30,213 crore through a fresh issue of 27 crore shares, making the offering one of India’s largest planned IPOs.
IPO Price Band and Subscription Dates
The price band has been set at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share. The public issue is scheduled to open on October 21 and close on October 23, 2026.
The anchor book is intended for institutional investors ahead of the wider public subscription period. Strong anchor demand can indicate investor interest, but it does not guarantee how the shares will perform after listing.
Global Investors Show Interest
The anchor investor list includes major international investment firms and sovereign wealth funds. Their participation highlights the scale of institutional attention surrounding the proposed listing.
Investors will still need to assess the company’s business outlook, valuation, financial disclosures and the risks described in the offer documents.
What Stock Market Investors Should Know
A heavily subscribed anchor book can attract attention to an IPO, but demand figures alone are not enough to determine whether an issue is suitable for an individual investor.
Before making an application, investors should read the official offer documents, understand the price band and risks, and avoid relying solely on market excitement or unofficial listing-premium estimates. IPO investments can lose value, and listing gains are never guaranteed.
