Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s scheduled concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi has received police clearance after organisers agreed to strengthen security and crowd-management arrangements.
The concert, part of his Aura India Tour 2026, is scheduled for October 30. The approval came after authorities initially withheld permission over security concerns and the challenges of managing a large public event.
Why Was Permission Initially Withheld?
Delhi Police had initially declined the organisers’ request, citing security-related information and existing law-and-order responsibilities. The decision created uncertainty among fans who had been looking forward to the performance.
Following discussions with the police, the organisers presented a revised plan addressing safety, traffic control and crowd management. Permission was subsequently granted, allowing preparations for the concert to continue.
Additional Security Arrangements Planned
Authorities have called for additional security personnel, better management of entry and exit points, designated parking facilities and clearer directions for concertgoers.
Officials have also discussed pedestrian movement around the stadium to reduce congestion. These measures are intended to improve safety for attendees while limiting disruption to nearby roads and commuters.

With police clearance granted, the concert is expected to proceed as scheduled, subject to the organisers meeting the required safety and traffic conditions.
