Rajinikanth’s action drama Jailer 2 has recorded a strong recovery at the box office during its second weekend, taking its worldwide gross collection to approximately ₹666.30 crore after ten days in theatres.
The film earned an estimated ₹24.15 crore in India net collections on its tenth day . This marked a 66.6% increase compared with Friday’s collection of ₹14.50 crore, giving the sequel fresh momentum as it continues its theatrical run.
India Box Office Collection Rises on Day 10
With its latest earnings, Jailer 2 has accumulated around ₹373 crore in India net collections. Its domestic gross collection has reached approximately ₹436.80 crore.
The film also added an estimated ₹10 crore in overseas gross earnings on Saturday. This took its total international collection to ₹229.50 crore and helped push the worldwide gross beyond ₹660 crore.
The latest figures show a notable improvement after collections declined during the weekdays. Whether the film can maintain this pace over the remainder of its second weekend will be an important factor in its continued box office performance.
Tamil Version Leads Regional Collections
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s domestic earnings on Day 10, collecting approximately ₹16.25 crore across 5,545 shows.
The Telugu version added ₹4.40 crore from 1,835 shows, while the Hindi version earned ₹2.90 crore across 4,008 screenings. The Kannada version contributed another ₹60 lakh from 203 shows.
These figures highlight the Tamil version’s leading position while showing that the film is also drawing audiences across its other language releases.
Rajinikanth Returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 continues the story of retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, played by Rajinikanth. The sequel follows the character as a new threat disrupts his peaceful life.
The cast includes Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vidya Balan, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar and Mithun Chakraborty, among others. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the film’s music.
With its worldwide collection approaching the ₹700 crore milestone, Jailer 2 has established a strong commercial run. Its upcoming daily collections will determine how close it gets to the next major box office landmark.
