The Transformers franchise is getting a fresh collectible inspired by its classic Generation 1 characters. MachineCat-Toys, a third-party toy manufacturer previously known as Lasercat, has unveiled a full-color prototype of its MCT-02 Ferocy B-Robo, a super-deformed version of the iconic Decepticon combiner Abominus.
The collectible brings together five miniature Terrorcon figures, each with its own transformation features. When combined, the five robots form Abominus, one of the memorable combiners from the original Transformers animated series.
Five Terrorcons Combine to Form Abominus
The MCT-02 Ferocy B-Robo features a stylized, chibi-inspired design that gives the classic characters a compact appearance while retaining their recognizable robot and beast forms.
The five Terrorcons that make up the combiner are:
- Hun-Gurrr: The team’s gluttonous leader.
- Rippersnapper: Known for his obsessive and aggressive nature.
- Sinnertwin: A sadistic fighter with a distinctive two-headed beast form.
- Cutthroat: A highly violent member of the group.
- Blot: The team’s brutish and rough-edged warrior.
Each character contributes to Abominus’s combined form, bringing together the five individual figures into one larger robot.
A Colorful Upgrade to the Prototype
MachineCat-Toys previously offered an early look at the unfinished prototype designs in May 2026. Those initial images showcased the figures’ sculpted details before the company revealed the more colorful version.
The latest prototype stands out with its bright colors and compact proportions. Despite the smaller scale, the figures retain detailed mechanical elements and transformation features that appeal to collectors interested in unusual interpretations of classic Transformers characters.
The MCT-02 Ferocy B-Robo is a third-party collectible rather than an official Hasbro or Takara Tomy release. Pricing and a confirmed retail release date were not provided in the supplied announcement.
Abominus and the Terrorcons in Generation 1
The Terrorcons first appeared in the original Transformers Generation 1 animated series as a group of Decepticon-associated robots with animal-inspired alternate forms. Their traditional rivals are the Technobots, another team known for combining into a larger robot.
The original lineup consists of Hun-Gurrr, Rippersnapper, Sinnertwin, Cutthroat and Blot. Together, they form Abominus, a powerful combiner that represents the group’s combined strength.
The Terrorcons have also been associated with the Quintessons in some storylines. In the original Generation 1 continuity, the Quintessons played an important role in Cybertron’s history and the origins of its robotic inhabitants.
Another Combiner Collectible for Transformers Fans
The new Abominus prototype arrives amid continued interest in combining robot toys. Takara Tomy’s Transformers Wild King line has also introduced combination-focused designs, including the WS-05 Optimus Link Prime set.
That set features Optimus Prime alongside five Energy Beast figures: Lightlong, Hydrophant, Ignite Leo, Drillnohorn and Skyreport. The smaller figures can transform between robot and animal forms and combine as additional armor and equipment for Optimus Prime.
With its colorful design and five-figure combination, MachineCat-Toys’ MCT-02 Ferocy B-Robo offers another distinctive take on the classic Transformers combiner concept.
