Choice Mutual Fund has entered the actively managed equity fund segment with the launch of the Choice Large & Mid Cap Fund. The new scheme opened for subscription and its New Fund Offer (NFO) will remain open until November 3, 2026.
The open-ended equity scheme aims to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in both large-cap and mid-cap companies. It offers investors an opportunity to gain exposure to businesses of different sizes through a single mutual fund.
How Will the New Fund Invest?
Under the scheme’s investment structure, at least 35% of the portfolio must be allocated to large-cap stocks and at least 35% to mid-cap stocks. Up to 30% may be invested in small-cap stocks and other permitted instruments, subject to the scheme’s rules.
The fund will be benchmarked against the NIFTY LargeMidcap 250 Total Return Index. Its investment decisions will depend on the fund manager’s assessment of companies, market conditions and the scheme’s investment objectives.
Minimum Investment and SIP Details
Investors can apply to the NFO with a minimum investment of ₹1,000. The scheme also offers systematic investment options, with SIP contributions starting from ₹250 under the announced offering details.
The NFO provides an opportunity to invest at the fund’s initial offering stage, but this does not mean the scheme is cheaper or more likely to deliver better returns than existing mutual funds.
What Should Investors Consider?
Because the fund invests primarily in equities, its value can fluctuate with stock market conditions. Mid-cap stocks may experience greater volatility than shares of larger, established companies.
Before investing, individuals should review the scheme information document, investment strategy, fees, exit-load conditions and risk disclosures. The fund’s performance will depend on its holdings, portfolio decisions and wider market movements.
The NFO closes on November 3, 2026. Investors should assess whether the scheme suits their financial goals and risk tolerance rather than making a decision solely because it is a new
