Etihad Airways is preparing to introduce a new nonstop connection between Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi, creating a direct travel link between the European country and the United Arab Emirates. The service is scheduled to begin on October 29, 2026, with three flights per week under the airline’s published timetable.
Three Weekly Flights Planned
The new route is scheduled to operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will be operated using the Airbus A321LR, offering passengers a direct alternative to connecting journeys between the two destinations.
The service is intended to serve travellers from Luxembourg and neighbouring parts of Europe, while also making it easier for visitors from the UAE to reach Luxembourg.
Connecting Europe With Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi offers visitors attractions such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, beaches and desert experiences. The city also serves as a connecting hub for passengers continuing to other destinations across the airline’s network.
For travellers departing from Luxembourg, the new nonstop service will provide direct access to the UAE capital without requiring a transfer at another airport.
Luxembourg Offers Historic Attractions
Luxembourg is known for its historic Old Town, castles, green valleys and European cultural heritage. The new connection could make the country more accessible to visitors travelling from Abu Dhabi and passengers connecting through the UAE.
What Travellers Should Know
The new route adds another option for people planning business trips, holidays or visits to family and friends between Europe and the Middle East. Flight schedules may change, so passengers should confirm departure dates, timings and availability before booking.
