Rajasthan is looking beyond its famous forts and royal palaces to attract more international visitors, with a wider showcase of its tourism experiences at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026. The state is highlighting wildlife destinations, rural experiences, religious circuits, folk culture and film tourism as part of its effort to build stronger connections with overseas travel businesses.
The event is taking place at ExCeL London, where Rajasthan is presenting its tourism offerings to travel agents, tour operators and other industry representatives.
Moving Beyond Forts and Palaces
Rajasthan is internationally recognised for its historic forts, palaces and heritage hotels. This time, its tourism promotion is also focusing on experiences that allow visitors to explore the state’s natural landscapes, village life, traditions and religious destinations.
Wildlife tourism and folk culture are among the areas being highlighted, alongside opportunities for travellers interested in exploring Rajasthan beyond its traditional heritage circuit.
Growing Interest from UK Travellers
The state’s tourism department has reported that visitor arrivals from the United Kingdom increased more than fourfold between 2022 and 2025. Rajasthan is looking to build on this growth by developing stronger relationships with international travel companies.
The London event provides an opportunity to introduce tour operators to a broader range of destinations and experiences across the state.
Palace on Wheels Also Features in the Showcase
The Palace on Wheels, Rajasthan’s flagship luxury train tourism product, is also being promoted at the international travel event. A separate roadshow organised with the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan is expected to provide another platform for connecting with overseas travel businesses.
A Wider Tourism Identity for Rajasthan
The state’s latest international outreach reflects an effort to present Rajasthan as more than a destination for historic monuments. By promoting wildlife, village experiences, religious journeys and local culture, Rajasthan hopes to encourage visitors to explore more places and spend longer discovering the state.
The partnerships developed through the event could help bring greater international attention to Rajasthan’s diverse tourism offerings
