Taiwan is stepping up efforts to attract Indian travellers by promoting fly-cruise holidays that combine a stay in Taiwan with cruise journeys to destinations across Northeast Asia, including Japan and South Korea.
The initiative aims to give Indian holidaymakers more options beyond traditional single-country trips, combining city exploration, cultural attractions, local cuisine and scenic coastal experiences in one itinerary.
Delhi–Taipei Direct Flights to Support Travel Plans
A key development is EVA Air’s planned launch of a direct Delhi–Taipei service on December 1, 2026. The non-stop connection is expected to make Taiwan more accessible for Indian travellers and create opportunities for travel companies to design packages that combine flights, hotel stays and cruise departures.
The new connection could also make it easier for visitors to include Taiwan as part of a wider Northeast Asian holiday.
One Holiday, Multiple Destinations
The proposed fly-cruise packages are designed to let travellers explore Taiwan before boarding a cruise that visits other destinations in the region. Visitors could experience Taiwan’s cultural heritage, urban attractions, food and natural landscapes alongside stops in Japan and South Korea.
This format may appeal to families, couples and travellers looking for a more varied international holiday without organising every leg of the trip separately.
Travel Industry Partners Join the Initiative
Tourism representatives have been working with airlines, cruise operators and destination-management companies to develop packages for the Indian market. The initiative was also presented at a tourism promotion event in New Delhi, where industry participants discussed opportunities for collaboration.
With direct air connectivity planned and cruise itineraries spanning several destinations, Taiwan is positioning itself as both a holiday destination and a gateway to wider Northeast Asian travel experiences.
