Navi Mumbai International Airport is expanding its domestic flight network with the addition of nine destinations, creating more travel options for passengers and improving air connectivity across several Indian regions.
The newly added destinations are Agatti via Goa’s Manohar International Airport, Darbhanga, Guwahati, Jalgaon, Jodhpur, Ranchi, Bagdogra, Sindhudurg and Udaipur. The expanded network connects travellers with destinations across Rajasthan, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Lakshadweep and coastal Maharashtra.
More Options for Domestic Travellers
The new connections could make it easier for passengers to plan holidays, family visits and business trips without relying exclusively on existing airport hubs.
For tourism, the expansion brings additional access to destinations known for their varied attractions, including Udaipur’s lakes and palaces, Jodhpur’s historic architecture, Guwahati’s cultural sites and Bagdogra’s role as a gateway to the Himalayan region.
The Agatti connection, routed through Goa’s Manohar International Airport, also offers a link towards Lakshadweep.
Airport Traffic Continues to Grow
Since beginning operations, Navi Mumbai International Airport has handled approximately 35.89 lakh passengers, including around 35.80 lakh domestic passengers and 8,442 international passengers.
The airport has also recorded more than 27,000 scheduled aircraft movements, reflecting the growth of its operations.
What It Means for Future Travel
The addition of destinations strengthens the airport’s role in connecting Mumbai’s wider metropolitan region with cities and tourism areas across India. More route options may give passengers greater flexibility when planning domestic journeys.
Travellers should check the operating airline, flight schedule and ticket availability before making plans, as route timings and services can change.
