Thailand has added a new international air connection as it prepares for the winter holiday season. Belavia Belarusian Airlines has begun scheduled non-stop flights between Minsk and Bangkok, while a second direct route linking Minsk with Phuket is set to begin on October 29, 2026.
The new services give travellers from Belarus more direct options for reaching Thailand’s cities and beach destinations. They also mark a shift from the airline’s earlier charter operations to regular scheduled flights.
Weekly Direct Flights Connect Minsk and Bangkok
The Minsk–Bangkok service operates every Sunday using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity of 281 passengers. The aircraft has 18 business-class seats and 263 economy-class seats.
Flight B2 799 departs Minsk at 3:10 a.m. and arrives at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 5:05 p.m. local time. The return flight leaves Bangkok at 7:05 p.m. and arrives in Minsk at 1:50 a.m. the following day.
Direct services can simplify trip planning by removing the need for a connecting flight, although travellers should compare schedules, fares and baggage rules before booking.
Phuket Route to Begin on October 29
Belavia is scheduled to launch direct flights between Minsk and Phuket twice a week from October 29. The service will use the same Airbus A330-200 aircraft and is expected to add approximately 2,248 inbound seats per month.
Phuket is known for its beaches, island excursions, coastal scenery and range of accommodation. Bangkok offers a different experience, with markets, temples, shopping districts and cultural attractions.
With both destinations connected directly to Minsk, travellers can choose a city-focused holiday or a beach break. Visitors planning a longer trip may also consider combining the two destinations, depending on their budget and available travel dates.
What the New Routes Mean for Winter Holidays
Thailand remains a popular destination for travellers seeking warm weather during the Northern Hemisphere winter. Direct scheduled services from Belarus may make it easier to plan holidays around Bangkok, Phuket and other parts of the country.
Belarusian passport holders are eligible for Thailand’s Visa on Arrival for stays of up to 15 days, subject to the applicable entry requirements. Travellers should check current immigration rules and confirm flight schedules before departure, as entry conditions and airline operations can change.
The new routes provide another option for reaching Thailand during the busy winter travel period and strengthen direct air links between the two countries.
