Agreement Aims to Attract More Indian Travellers
Israel’s Ministry of Tourism has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) to strengthen tourism promotion and build closer ties with India’s travel industry.
The agreement was signed during TAAI’s 69th Convention and Exhibition in Kolkata. It establishes a framework for cooperation between the two organisations, with the aim of improving awareness of Israel as a travel destination among Indian tourists and travel professionals.
Roadshows and Training Programmes Planned
Under the partnership, both organisations will explore joint promotional roadshows across India, destination-training sessions, educational programmes and familiarisation tours for travel industry representatives.
These initiatives are intended to help Indian travel agents learn more about Israel’s tourism offerings and develop travel packages suited to different visitor interests.
Moving Beyond Pilgrimage Tourism
Israel has traditionally attracted many Indian visitors interested in religious and pilgrimage destinations. The new partnership aims to broaden awareness of the country’s other travel experiences and encourage stronger engagement between tourism businesses in both markets.
The agreement creates a platform for future promotional activities, although individual initiatives and schedules will depend on further coordination between the organisations.
