A new supernatural romantic comedy is heading to television, as Miki Yoshikawa’s manga Hiiragi-san’s House of Vampires has officially been confirmed for an anime adaptation. The announcement was made on Halloween, accompanied by the release of a special teaser visual.
A Mysterious Vampire Family
The story follows Shota Minamoto, a middle-school student who has been living in a children’s care home. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is welcomed into the Hiiragi family, who live in a luxurious traditional Japanese house.
At first, the family appears warm and welcoming. However, Shota soon discovers that every member of the household, apart from him, is a vampire. His new life becomes a mix of unusual family situations, mystery and romantic comedy.
First Teaser Visual Revealed
The newly released visual features Yukie Hiiragi, the family’s second daughter, approaching Shota under the moonlight. Its mysterious nighttime setting reflects the darker atmosphere that runs through the manga.
The announcement also included a comment from creator Miki Yoshikawa, who said she is excited to see the series adapted into anime. She highlighted the contrast between its bright daytime scenes and its darker, moonlit atmosphere.
Production Details and Release Update
The original manga is written and illustrated by Miki Yoshikawa and is published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. Yoshikawa is also known for popular works such as A Couple of Cuckoos and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches.
UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is handling the project’s planning and production. The anime’s broadcast date, voice cast and further production staff have not yet been announced.
The adaptation adds another supernatural title to the upcoming anime lineup, with viewers now waiting for more details about the mysterious Hiiragi household.
