Music composer and actor GV Prakash Kumar has officially joined Vijay Sethupathi and director Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s upcoming film Pocket Novel. He will compose the film’s music, replacing legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja, who was initially associated with the project.
The makers confirmed the development through a special announcement video, putting an end to speculation about the film’s music team.
GV Prakash’s First Collaboration with the Director
This project marks GV Prakash’s first collaboration with Thiagarajan Kumararaja as a music composer. The announcement video featured GV Prakash dancing, along with a message confirming that his involvement was official.
His addition has raised curiosity among audiences, particularly because of the director’s distinctive filmmaking style and the expectations surrounding the film’s soundtrack.
Vijay Sethupathi Leads the Cast
Pocket Novel brings Vijay Sethupathi and Thiagarajan Kumararaja together again after their earlier film Super Deluxe. The upcoming project also features Malavika Mohanan, Kishore and Raj B. Shetty in important roles.
The film’s shooting has been completed, and the team is currently working on post-production. Vijay Sethupathi has also begun dubbing for his role.
Multilingual Release Planned
The film is expected to release in four languages, including Tamil and Kannada. However, the makers have not yet announced its theatrical release date or audio launch schedule.
With GV Prakash now officially handling the music, audiences are waiting for the first song and further updates from the film’s team.
