Passengers flying with IndiGo will have a wider range of food and beverage options following the airline’s latest update to its onboard dining programme. The refreshed menu brings together regional Indian flavours, international-inspired dishes, new snacks and additional options for passengers with specific dietary preferences.
The updated programme includes an expanded pre-booking menu, redesigned packaging and a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, rolls and samosas. Several new dishes will be available on selected routes and in selected cabins.
New Regional Dishes Added to the Menu
The updated selection includes a Tangra Style Chilli Paneer Roll, inspired by Kolkata’s popular Indo-Chinese food culture, and an Egg Roast Roll featuring spiced scrambled eggs in a South Indian-inspired preparation.
Other additions include a Veg Coronation Sandwich with a mildly curried filling and a Fort Kochi Roast Chicken Sandwich featuring roast chicken and fresh vegetables. These options bring flavours associated with different parts of India into the onboard dining experience.
More Choices for Different Dietary Preferences
The airline has expanded its meal categories to include Jain, vegan, diabetic-friendly and low-calorie options. Passengers can select suitable meals through the pre-booking facility, giving them more choice before their journey.
For travellers purchasing food during the flight, the selection includes ready-to-eat meals and a rotating “Snack of the Day” range. Items include Butter Toffee Popcorn, Hand Murukku and Edamame Beans on selected flights.
New Beverages and Sustainable Packaging
The beverage selection now features options such as Hot Chocolate, Calming Blue Tea and Coco-Litchi. The revised menu is intended to offer passengers a broader mix of familiar refreshments and new flavours during their flights.
The airline is also introducing measures to reduce catering waste. Pre-booking perishable food items helps the airline plan meal quantities more efficiently, while wooden cutlery and recyclable tin or paper packaging form part of its updated catering approach.
A More Varied Onboard Travel Experience
The refreshed food programme reflects the growing demand for more choice during air journeys. By combining regional dishes, snacks, special dietary meals and new beverages, IndiGo is expanding its onboard food offering for passengers travelling across its domestic and international network.
