New Campaign Highlights Culture, Heritage and Local Experiences
Ghana has launched its Experience Ghana tourism campaign at World Travel Market London 2026, aiming to introduce the country’s cultural identity and travel attractions to a wider international audience.
Promoted under the theme #TheBlackStarExperience, the initiative presents Ghana as a destination where visitors can explore historic landmarks, traditional festivals, local food, creative industries and natural landscapes.
Historic Sites and Cultural Attractions in Focus
The campaign highlights important heritage locations, including Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle, while also promoting Ghana’s music, fashion, film, arts and traditional craftsmanship.
Visitors are also being encouraged to discover indigenous cuisine, coastal destinations, eco-tourism experiences and local traditions that reflect the country’s history and contemporary culture.
Tourism as a Driver of Local Opportunities
The initiative is part of Ghana’s wider effort to use tourism and creative industries to support economic activity and create opportunities for local communities.
By presenting both its historical heritage and modern cultural scene, Ghana hopes to attract travellers looking for meaningful experiences beyond conventional sightseeing.
