Vietnam’s Coastal Destination Plans Wider Global Reach
Vietnam’s popular coastal city Da Nang is preparing to strengthen its international tourism network through a new cooperation agreement with low-cost airline Vietjet. The partnership focuses on expanding flight connections, attracting overseas visitors and promoting the city’s tourism attractions in international markets.
The agreement covers the 2026–2030 period and brings together aviation, tourism promotion, trade and destination marketing initiatives.
New Routes to Japan and Indonesia
As part of the expansion plan, Vietjet is scheduled to introduce two additional routes from Da Nang:
- Da Nang–Osaka (Japan)
- Da Nang–Jakarta (Indonesia)
Both services are planned to begin on December 20, 2026. The partners also intend to explore stronger connections with markets such as India, Australia, Central Asia and the Middle East.
Tourism Promotion Beyond Air Travel
The partnership will also explore showcasing Da Nang’s attractions through Vietjet’s aircraft and promotional platforms. The city aims to develop tourism experiences around beach holidays, resorts, golf, conferences and major events.
The initiative could give international travellers more ways to reach central Vietnam while helping Da Nang strengthen its position as a regional tourism destination.
