The popular Code Geass franchise has shared an exciting update about its upcoming anime, the production team revealed a new main visual, leading voice cast members and additional details about the project.
The announcement has generated fresh interest among fans eagerly waiting for the franchise’s next chapter.
Main Characters and Voice Cast Revealed
The newly announced voice cast includes:
- Ivan Shibata as Aspal.
- Hibiku Yamamura as Zoé.
The anime will follow Aspal, a young slave living in the Roman Empire, whose life changes after he encounters the mysterious Zoé.
A New Story Set in the Roman Empire
The story takes place in 606 of the Divine Era, where citizens are struggling under Emperor Phokas and ongoing wars with neighbouring countries.
Aspal’s encounter with Zoé, a mysterious woman who exists only as a head, becomes the beginning of an unexpected journey.
When Will the Anime Be Released?
The anime is scheduled for advance screenings beginning in January 2027, followed by further event screenings during 2027. The exact screening schedule is yet to be announced.
The project is being produced by Sunrise, with Kazuya Nomura directing and Mado Nozaki handling series composition. Ichiro Okouchi and Goro Taniguchi are involved in the original story.
