The upcoming fantasy anime King’s Proposal has confirmed its television debut for 2027 and unveiled its first teaser visual. Voice actress Rie Takahashi has also been announced as the voice of Saika Kuozaki, the powerful witch at the center of the story.
The series adapts the light novels written by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako, the creative duo also known for Date A Live.

The story takes place in a world that repeatedly faces the threat of destruction. Magicians work behind the scenes to protect humanity by defeating mysterious forces known as annihilation factors.
Saika Kuozaki stands at the top of this magical world and leads an academy for magicians. Her life changes when she encounters an ordinary high school student named Mushiki Kuga.
A Secret Identity Drives the Story
After Saika is gravely injured, Mushiki inherits her body and extraordinary powers. But gaining those abilities does not mean he can control them easily.
To help protect the world, Mushiki must attend the academy while pretending to be Saika. This unusual situation brings together magical battles, school life and a story involving hidden identities and first love.
Rie Takahashi Joins the Anime Cast
Rie Takahashi will voice Saika Kuozaki, making her the first announced cast member for the adaptation. The teaser visual also puts Saika at the center of the anime’s early promotional campaign.
The animation studio, director, additional cast members and theme songs have not yet been announced.
