Nepal is preparing to welcome a new luxury accommodation option for travellers interested in wildlife and nature. The Postcard on the Rapti River, a 22-room-and-suite retreat, is scheduled to open in November 2026 near Chitwan National Park, offering views of the surrounding forests, river and natural landscape.
The property marks the hotel brand’s entry into Nepal, expanding its presence beyond India, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
A Stay Surrounded by Nature
The retreat is located beside the Rapti River, close to the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park. Its rooms and suites are designed with private sit-outs overlooking the river or forest, allowing guests to enjoy the natural setting.
The property is planned to include an elevated restaurant and bar, swimming pool, spa facilities and an outdoor viewing deck.
Wildlife and Outdoor Experiences
Chitwan National Park is known for its rich wildlife, including the greater one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, leopard and sloth bear. The area is also an important destination for birdwatching, with more than 525 recorded bird species.
Visitors staying at the retreat will be able to explore experiences such as naturalist-led jeep safaris, guided forest walks, canoe excursions on the Rapti River and birdwatching. Visits to nearby Tharu villages will also offer an opportunity to learn about local culture and traditions.
A New Option for Luxury Nature Tourism
The property will have 22 rooms and suites, with accommodation starting at 1,300 square feet. Its two-bedroom Presidential Suite will cover 5,000 square feet and include a private pool.
Prices are expected to start at ₹85,000 per suite, including the hotel’s signature anytime breakfast and flexible check-in and check-out arrangements.
Nepal Expands Its Luxury Hospitality Offering
The planned opening reflects growing interest in nature-focused stays that combine comfortable accommodation with access to wildlife and local experiences. With its riverside setting and proximity to Chitwan National Park, the new retreat is expected to add another premium option to Nepal’s tourism landscape.
The hotel is scheduled to open during November, so travellers should confirm availability and opening arrangements before planning a stay.
