The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme has released its 24th instalment, bringing financial assistance to eligible farmers across India. The payment was transferred with the government continuing its direct financial support programme for farming households.
₹2,000 Instalment Transferred to Eligible Farmers
Under PM-Kisan, eligible farmer families receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each. The amount is deposited directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
The latest instalment covers the August–November 2026 period.
Farmers Must Complete e-KYC
The government has reiterated that completing e-KYC is mandatory for registered PM-Kisan beneficiaries. Farmers can use the available Aadhaar-based verification facilities, including biometric authentication and face authentication through the scheme’s mobile application.
Some Beneficiaries May Face Payment Delays
The department has also identified certain cases requiring additional eligibility verification. These include cases involving land ownership acquired after February 1, 2019, and situations where multiple members of the same family are receiving benefits.
Payments in suspected cases may remain temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
How Farmers Can Check Their Status
Beneficiaries can visit the official PM-Kisan portal and use the Know Your Status facility to check their payment and eligibility details.
The latest update highlights the importance of keeping beneficiary records accurate and completing the required verification to continue receiving scheme benefits.
