The popular Mirzapur franchise has returned with a new release for its audience. Mirzapur: The Movie, featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu, has made its digital debut following its theatrical run.
The biggest highlight of the digital version is an extended cut featuring additional scenes that were not included in the theatrical release. The longer version gives viewers more footage from the crime-drama universe.
Extended Cut Adds 14 Minutes
The theatrical version had a runtime of approximately 3 hours and 17 minutes. The extended edition runs for 3 hours and 31 minutes, adding around 14 minutes of additional material.
The extra footage offers a longer look at the characters and events from the film, making the digital release a notable update for followers of the franchise.

The film brings back three of the franchise’s most recognisable performers:
- Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya
- Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit

The supporting cast includes Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Jitendra Kumar, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Mohit Malik, among others.
Story Set During the First Season
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur: The Movie explores an untold chapter set within the timeline of the first season of the original series.
The story returns to the familiar struggle for control of Mirzapur’s criminal empire, with established rivalries and new developments taking the characters into a different setting.
Film Makes Its Digital Debut
The movie originally arrived in theatres on September 4, 2026. Its digital premiere extends the film’s reach to audiences in India and international markets.
For fans of the franchise, the extended edition is the main attraction, as it includes additional footage beyond the version shown in cinemas.
