The popular music unit Walküre from the anime Macross Delta is making a special return with new music to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary. The group has announced a new single titled “Walküre wa Makerarenai”, scheduled for release on March 24, 2027.
The announcement marks an exciting development for fans, as Walküre had brought its music activities to a close after its 2023 arena tour.
Four New Songs Included in the Anniversary Release
The anniversary single will feature four newly recorded songs:
- “Walküre wa Makerarenai”
- “No Limit! No Brake!”
- “Ka-i-ka-n”
- “Ikenai Borderline – Perfect 5 Mix”
The new version of “Ikenai Borderline” will feature all five members singing together, with additional string arrangements.
Special Edition to Include a New Audio Drama
The limited edition will come with a second CD featuring an original audio drama titled “Kyōsō no Walküre.” Written by Toshizo Nemoto, the story follows the five Walküre members taking part in a competitive race to promote a new variable fighter.
The release will be available in two formats:
- Limited Edition: Two CDs, 3,520 yen
- Regular Edition: One CD, 1,980 yen
10th Anniversary Event Planned for January 2027
A special event titled MACROSS Δ 10th Anniversary GRAND CELEBRATION is scheduled for January 17, 2027, at Shibuya LOVEZ in Tokyo.
Several cast members and performers are expected to attend, including Yuma Uchida, Minori Suzuki, Asami Seto, Ami Koshimizu, JUNNA, Kiyono Yasuno, Nao Toyama, Nozomi Nishida and KENN.
The comeback single and anniversary celebration will give Macross Delta fans new music and a chance to celebrate the anime’s decade-long journey.
