Marriott International has signed an agreement to introduce its JW Marriott brand in Fiji through a new property, JW Marriott Fiji Resort & Spa. The resort will be located on Denarau Island and is expected to add a major luxury accommodation option to the Pacific island destination.
The planned property will have 282 rooms and suites and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027. Reservations are scheduled to begin in December 2026.
Resort to Feature Private Pool Villas and Multiple Dining Options
The resort is planned to include premium guest rooms, suites and two-bedroom villas with private swimming pools. Facilities will also include a large family swimming pool and a separate adults-only pool with poolside dining and a bar.
Its dining plans cover several concepts, including an all-day restaurant combining international flavours with Pacific cuisine, a Japanese-inspired specialty restaurant, a wine and cocktail lounge, and a market for casual refreshments.
Family Activities and Wellness Experiences
The property is expected to offer a dedicated kids’ club and a teen zone, along with spaces designed for relaxation and wellbeing. The resort’s approach will combine the JW Marriott brand’s focus on mindful hospitality with local Fijian culture and experiences.
Conversion of an Existing Resort
The project will transform the existing Westin Fiji Golf Resort & Spa into the new JW Marriott property. The agreement was signed with Dubbo Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of the Fiji National Provident Fund.
The resort will also cater to meetings and celebrations, with plans for a 309-square-metre ballroom, a 490-square-metre pre-function area and five meeting rooms. The ballroom is expected to accommodate up to 180 guests for a banquet.
