Thailand is preparing to welcome visitors with a series of colourful Diwali celebrations across three popular destinations this November. The Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2026 will feature seven free events in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, bringing Indian traditions, music, food and festive activities to major tourist areas.
The celebrations will take place from November 3 to November 29, giving visitors several opportunities to experience the festival while exploring Thailand. The programme includes five special diya-lighting ceremonies, cultural performances, Bollywood entertainment and festive markets.
Bangkok to Begin the Festival
The celebrations will open at Central Bangrak on November 3 and 4 with an event called The First Light. The programme will include a diya-lighting ceremony, live Bollywood music and festive activities.
Another major celebration will take place at ICONSIAM from November 6 to 8. On Diwali Day, November 8, visitors can attend a special diya-lighting ceremony followed by riverside fireworks.
Pattaya Adds Beachside Diwali Celebrations
Pattaya will host two parts of the festival. Central Festival Pattaya Beach will organise Nine Nights of Candlelight from November 7 to 15, with activities planned around Diwali.
Pattaya Beach Road will also present Lamps Along the Shore from November 13 to 15. A special beachfront diya-lighting ceremony is scheduled for November 13, offering visitors a festive experience beside the sea.
Phuket to Feature Indian Food and Cultural Activities
Phuket will join the celebrations on November 8 with A Sunday of Flavour at Central Patong. The event will focus on Indian cuisine and cultural activities, adding a food-focused experience to the festival programme.
The celebrations are expected to give tourists an opportunity to enjoy Indian traditions while visiting one of Thailand’s well-known beach destinations.
Little India to Celebrate Dev Deepavali
Bangkok’s historic Phahurat neighbourhood, popularly known as Little India, will host Threads of Faith from November 20 to 24. The programme will highlight the area’s Thai-Indian heritage, with a diya-lighting ceremony planned for November 24.
The festival will conclude at EMQUARTIER, where Music on the Avenue will run from November 26 to 29. Its final diya-lighting ceremony is scheduled for November 29.
Free Entry Across All Seven Events
All seven celebrations will offer free admission to residents and international visitors. The programme is designed to bring cultural experiences into shopping, dining and tourism areas, allowing visitors to combine festival activities with sightseeing.
For Indian travellers planning a November holiday, the celebrations could provide an additional reason to explore Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket during the festive season.
