Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket Prepare for Cultural Celebrations
Thailand is hosting the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2026, bringing Indian cultural celebrations to Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket throughout November. Organised with tourism and cultural partners, the event is now in its fifth consecutive year and aims to strengthen Thailand’s appeal as a festival destination.
Major Attractions Across the Cities
In Bangkok, celebrations include a giant illuminated lotus installation at ICONSIAM from November 6 to 8, cultural performances and activities in the Little India district from November 20 to 24, and music and shopping events later in the month.
Pattaya will host candlelight celebrations, cultural displays and a beachside food market between November 7 and 15. In Phuket, an Indian food festival, Diwali market, henna art and Rangoli displays are scheduled for November 8.
Tourism Expectations
Thailand expects the festival season to support its target of welcoming 2.5 million Indian visitors in 2026, with estimated tourism revenue of at least 90 billion Thai baht from the Indian market.
The celebrations offer visitors an opportunity to experience Indian traditions, food, music and art while exploring some of Thailand’s major tourism destinations.
