New Character Illustrations Released
Fans of The Apothecary Diaries have received a fresh update as the anime’s official team released new setting illustrations . The newly revealed artwork features Maomao, Jinshi and Basen preparing for a journey towards the western regions.
The illustrations offer a closer look at the characters’ travel appearances and provide a preview of the next stage of the ongoing story.
Maomao and Jinshi Begin a New Journey
In the upcoming storyline, Maomao leaves the capital and accompanies the palace physician Yu Yuan, commonly known as the quack doctor, as he returns to his hometown.
Jinshi and Basen also join the journey, setting the stage for new encounters and developments outside the imperial palace.
Season 3 Continues With More Story Developments
The third season of The Apothecary Diaries is being broadcast in two parts. The first part is currently airing, while the second part is scheduled to begin in April 2027.
