A new direct air connection between Ahmedabad and Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island is set to give Indian travellers another option for planning an international holiday. Sun PhuQuoc Airways is scheduled to launch the route on December 3, 2026, initially operating five flights a week.
Five Flights a Week to Start With
The new service will initially operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The airline plans to increase the frequency to daily flights from early February 2027, offering passengers more flexibility when arranging their trips.
One-way fares are expected to start at ₹9,596, including taxes and fees, although actual prices may vary depending on travel dates and availability.
What Travellers Can Explore in Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc, a Vietnamese island known for its turquoise waters, beaches and resort experiences, offers a tropical holiday setting for visitors seeking coastal scenery and leisure activities. The direct connection is expected to make the destination more convenient for travellers departing from Gujarat by removing the need for a connecting flight on this route.
A New Option for International Holidays
The Ahmedabad–Phu Quoc route adds another choice for Indian travellers considering Southeast Asian destinations. Before booking, passengers should confirm flight dates, final fares, entry requirements and other travel arrangements through the relevant official channels.
