The Indian stock market witnessed a strong rally on Monday as benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty traded sharply higher during the session. Positive global signals, easing crude oil prices and strong corporate earnings supported investor sentiment.
By 11:55 AM, the BSE Sensex had climbed 856.87 points to 75,316.40, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 253.06 points to 23,306.15.
Reliance Industries Leads the Rally
Shares of Reliance Industries attracted strong buying interest after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly earnings. The stock gained around 6% during morning trading, providing significant support to benchmark indices.
Other companies also recorded gains:
- Delhivery shares rose around 7.2%.
- Bank of Baroda advanced approximately 3.5%.
- Indian Oil Corporation gained around 3%.
Falling Crude Oil Prices Support Market Sentiment
A decline in international crude oil prices provided another boost to Indian equities. Brent crude slipped towards $110 per barrel after reaching a six-month high of around $118 in the previous session.
Hopes of progress in diplomatic discussions involving Iran and Qatar helped ease concerns about global oil supplies.
Banking, Energy and Other Sectors Gain
Buying interest was visible across several major sectors, with 15 of the 16 major sectoral indices trading higher during morning trade.
Small-cap and mid-cap stocks also participated in the recovery, indicating broader buying interest beyond heavyweight companies.
What Investors Are Watching Next
Market participants are closely tracking September-quarter corporate earnings, crude oil movements, global developments and upcoming economic data.
The latest rally has provided a positive start to November, although market movements remain sensitive to international developments and changing economic conditions.
