The manga adaptation of Urban Myth Dissolution Center has officially concluded, bringing its supernatural mystery story to a close. Manga artist Emi Ishikawa confirmed that Toshi Densetsu Kaitai Center: Parallel File ended with its latest instalment in the December issue of Shueisha’s Ribon magazine.
The manga was based on the mystery adventure game developed by Shueisha Games and introduced readers to a world of strange incidents, unexplained phenomena and investigations into modern urban legends.
Manga Began Serialization in April 2025
Emi Ishikawa launched the adaptation in Ribon magazine in April 2025. The series expanded the game’s universe into a manga format, bringing its characters and mysterious cases to readers through illustrated storytelling.
The third compiled volume was released in Japan on August 19, 2026.
Story Revolves Around Supernatural Investigations
The original game follows Azami Fukurai, who works with the Urban Myth Dissolution Center to investigate unusual cases involving cursed objects, strange creatures and unexplained events.
Under the supervision of Ayumu Meguriya, the centre examines mysterious incidents and searches for explanations behind stories that spread as urban legends. The manga adaptation brought this unusual investigative world to the printed page.
Original Game Expands to More Platforms
The original Urban Myth Dissolution Center game first launched for PC in February 2025. It later arrived on iOS and Android in March 2026, while a Nintendo Switch 2 edition was released on October 28, 2026.
The newer edition includes additional features designed around the console’s controls and an artwork gallery.
A Chapter Closes for the Manga Series
With the December magazine instalment, Ishikawa’s manga adaptation has reached its conclusion. The ending marks the completion of a relatively short but distinctive series inspired by a mystery game known for its unusual cases and supernatural atmosphere.
Fans of the franchise can still explore the original game, while manga readers now have the completed adaptation to revisit.
