3% Increase in Dearness Allowance
Government employees and pensioners in Gujarat have received a festive financial boost after the state government announced a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). The decision is expected to benefit approximately 9.69 lakh employees and pensioners across the state.
Four Months of Arrears Along With November Salary
Along with the revised DA, eligible beneficiaries will receive arrears for four months. The pending amount is scheduled to be paid along with the November salary, providing additional financial relief to government employees ahead of Diwali.
What Does the Decision Mean for Employees?
The DA increase will raise the allowance calculated on employees’ basic pay. Pensioners will also benefit through the corresponding increase in Dearness Relief (DR).
