Bollywood superstar Salman Khan brought plenty of fun and entertainment to the first Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, as he singled out singer Qazi Touqeer for his unique personality and signature style.
In a promotional clip released by the channel on Instagram, Salman jokingly declared Qazi the “only rockstar” in the Bigg Boss 20 house. The actor also imitated Qazi’s much-talked-about “Owww” expression, leaving the other contestants entertained.
Salman praised Qazi, saying that while the house is filled with stars, Qazi stands out as the true rockstar. He then playfully asked the singer to teach him his signature line, “I am a rockstar, baby.”
The Bollywood star also got the other housemates to copy Qazi’s trademark dance move. However, Salman admitted that performing the step was not easy for him, adding to the light-hearted moment.
First Weekend Ka Vaar Brings Eviction Buzz
The opening Weekend Ka Vaar episode could also bring the season’s first eviction. Kanika Mann, Uditi Singh, Love Gill and Arishfa Khan are reportedly among the contestants nominated during the first week.
Bigg Boss 20 premiered on September 6 with a varied group of 16 celebrity contestants. The current lineup includes MC Mary Kom, Kanika Mann, Mahhi Vij, Kushal Tanwar, Aman Gandhi, Isha Rikhi, Arishfa Khan, Qazi Touqeer, Asif Khan, Aamrapali Dubey, Rhiti Tiwari, Uditi Singh, Tanmay Singh aka ScoutOP, Rohed Khan, Yung DSA and Love Gill.
The reality show is available on JioHotstar and also airs on Colors.
Who Is Qazi Touqeer?
Qazi Touqeer rose to fame after winning Fame Gurukul alongside Ruprekha Banerjee. He became particularly popular with the Indian audience during the reality singing competition, which was the country’s adaptation of Fame Academy.
Following his victory, Qazi and Ruprekha released an album towards the end of 2005. Interestingly, Qazi had no formal musical training before entering Fame Gurukul.
He later planned to make his acting debut with the film Take Off. However, his journey was interrupted after he suffered a neck injury while rehearsing at choreographer Ganesh Acharya’s studio.
Now, years after his initial rise to fame, Qazi is once again attracting attention through his stint on Bigg Boss 20, with Salman Khan’s “rockstar” compliment adding another memorable moment to his reality-show journey.
