The Central Government has released the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, bringing financial relief to millions of farming families across India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred more than ₹18,690 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 9.34 crore eligible farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
The latest payment provides ₹2,000 to each eligible beneficiary as part of the government’s annual financial assistance programme for farmers.
₹2,000 Transferred to Each Eligible Farmer
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible landholding farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 every year.
The amount is distributed in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each. With the latest release, farmers have received another instalment to support their agricultural and household expenses.
Since the launch of the scheme, more than ₹4.47 lakh crore had already been distributed through the first 23 instalments.
More Than 9.34 Crore Farmers Benefit
The latest instalment has reached over 9.34 crore beneficiaries across the country.
The payment has been transferred directly into registered bank accounts, reducing the need for intermediaries and making the financial assistance process more transparent.
Farmers Advised to Check Their Payment Status
Farmers can check their instalment details through the official PM-KISAN portal.
Beneficiaries should ensure that their e-KYC is completed and their Aadhaar, bank account and land records are correctly verified. Incomplete verification or incorrect details may affect payment eligibility.
PM-KISAN Scheme to Continue Until 2031
The Union Cabinet has also approved the continuation of the PM-KISAN scheme from 2026–27 to 2030–31, with a total financial outlay of ₹3.15 lakh crore.
The decision ensures the continuation of income support for eligible farming families over the coming years and reinforces the government’s focus on strengthening rural livelihoods.
The latest instalment is another important step in providing direct financial assistance to farmers and supporting India’s agricultural economy.
