The upcoming anime film Witch on the Holy Night is set to receive an IMAX release alongside its regular theatrical debut in Japan on November 20, 2026. The announcement, made on October 30, has also revealed special opening-weekend appearances by two members of the film’s voice cast.
Haruka Tomatsu and Yuusuke Kobayashi to Meet Fans
Voice actors Haruka Tomatsu and Yuusuke Kobayashi are scheduled to attend special stage-greeting screenings in Tokyo and Osaka.
The Tokyo events will take place at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya on November 21, while the Osaka appearances are planned at TOHO Cinemas Umeda on November 22. The actors will attend four screenings across the two cities.
Special Ikebukuro Promotion Planned
The film will also receive promotional displays in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro area. Decorations are scheduled to appear at the entrance stairs of TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro from October 30, followed by outdoor advertising at the Animate Ikebukuro main store from November 1.
A separate event is planned in Ikebukuro on November 19, one day before the film’s theatrical release. Further details about that event have not yet been announced.
Ticket Lottery Already Underway
Tickets for the stage-greeting screenings are being distributed through a lottery system. With an IMAX release, cast appearances and additional city promotions, Witch on the Holy Night is preparing for a special opening weekend in Japan.
